Jake Weimer is having an exceptional 2016 season after coming off of a long list of injuries from the previous year. He began the year on Team Tedder/Monster Energy Kawasaki and made some noise right away by getting up front early in the heat races and semis showing everyone that he is back healthier than ever. He ended up with a pair of top 10s in the first three rounds when he got the call
from RCH Racing to come fill in for the injured Broc Tickle. Weimer of course took the offer and kept his results consistent with two more top 10s in the next four rounds. He has had some good rides this year but good starts in the main events are holding him back a little bit. Weimer has had some great performances in the qualifying races this year but can’t seem to duplicate them in the mains because he has to work his way through the pack. If Weimer snags a holeshot in the main event this weekend in Atlanta, look for him to hold his own and try and get inside that top 5.
