If you’ve grown up in the motocross industry, attending races and such, you know that the 85cc 12-13 divisions always provide some of
the most rigorous, and daunting competition of any class in the program. Loretta Lynn’s 2017 was no different, as the names ranged from Leblanc, Stone, and Vohland, the list could simply go on for days. Everyone had their eyes on Jett Reynold’s, the amateur phenom poised for greatness at a young age, but in the back of their minds, they knew Leblanc would be a solid contender if everything worked out as it should. The first moto saw Leblanc come around in a fifth place position, but quickly hovering into podium contention for the next few laps. Back and forth with Maximus Vohland, the two would swap paint on multiple occasions, at times hitting the apex of berms side by side. They were doing all they could, but just losing a tad bit of time to the leader each lap. Vohland would eventually get the better of Leblanc, all the while the green wave taking the win out front. Reynold’s would again push the pace for this sequence, setting the fastest lap out front. But it was the battle
of the orange brigade yet again in second and third that the fnas were watching. Leblanc seemed to latch onto the rear fender of Vohland,
