quickly jumping into the runner-up ride on lap number two. Chasing down his familiar foe of Bennick, he stalked the Carolina native until lap seven when a hiccup yielded dividends for the number 38. Deegan would push the pace until the final flag, soaring over the finish line double, gleaming with excitement under his helmet. And now the final round, time to see who solidifies themselves as the man to beat in the division. Deegan spent absolutely no time messing around, storming to the front of the field. Laying down an absurd 2:26, with the next fastest time of anyone being a 2:31, Deegan was showing a bizarre rate of speed, at times nearly dragging his clutch lever into the Loretta Lynn’s soil. Rip- ping the 65 for all she was worth, he hammered the throttle home, taking the win and championship nodding his head to all in the stands. He had done it, and the title was well deserved.
