Chris Alldredge had a relatively quiet night in Arlington. He began the day with a decent showing in qualifying practice posting the 12th fastest time. He looked to improve his speed come race time and put his Monster Energy Kawasaki in a favorable position to
qualify for the main event.
Alldredge got off to a great start in his heat race coming out of the first turn in 3rd right behind his teammate Joey Savatgy and Geico Honda rider Christian Craig. Knowing he was in prime position to get a good gate pick for the main event, Alldredge settled in and tried to keep the pace of the two title contenders. He wouldn’t be able to watch the leaders for long because late in the race Decotis came knocking at his door. Alldredge wouldn’t be able to fend him off and he would fall back to 4th place. He would end up finishing in 4th but it was plenty good enough to send him straight to the main. Alldredge couldn’t repeat his great start in the main event and would start off right on the precipice of the top 10. He would battle with Michael Leib and Kyle Peters to work his way into the top 10. Those riders would dice it out for the remainder of the race and Alldredge would ultimately end up finishing with a solid 8th place. It was a good result for Alldredge after some crashes and DNF’s have really been holding him back. You could say he picked up on a little momentum and consistency before the season heads into the month and a half break.
