The (7-9) year old age bracket, allows us to watch a special transition, and honestly, one of the most pivotal in a particular racer’s entire career. The days of simply twisting the throttle are gone, as it’s now algorithms of RPM timing, and careful caressing of the clutch in times of need. The power and opportunity is much greater, yet so is the danger and risk. It’s a lot to ask for someone this age, yet the guys in this year’s division, seemed beyond prepared to provide some of the hottest action on the track. Heat one saw Kade Johnson fire off the starting pad, creating a blaze of focus and raw speed. Diesel Thomas would latch on, patiently awaiting a mistake from the Texas native. Searching low and high, in any opportunity he had to sneak a wheel in, giving Johnson a glance of his tire, was taken. It wouldn’t falter Kade, however, as he would remain rock solid, holding on to the final flag, saluting his mechanic heading into the protest pit. The second division saw Luke Fauser make his name known across the P.A. system, as it was constantly repeated to reiterate the dominant performance he was putting on.
