Q: What does the 4% National Advertising Fee? A: You will benefit from a world class system-wide advertising and promotional campaign. We are constantly building the value of the Mary Brown’s Inc brand. Part of the 4% also goes to provide you in-store support by a Regional Marketing Manager who will both help execute National Marketing initiatives, but also Territory Marketing & Local Community Marketing for your specific store. Q: Do you sell Halal Products in all of your locations? A: While Mary Brown’s is not a Halal Franchise, depending on the marketplace, we will allow certain stores to sell Halal chicken. Q: Does Mary Brown’s Inc., provide mandatory training program for approved candidates? A: Yes. You will be required to attend a minimum of three (3) weeks training at our Corporate store in Newfoundland. Typically, you will be allotted 1 – 2 spots for training. The people in attendance should be the day-to-day operators of the business. Q: Do I have to pay for the training program? A: While your actual instore training is covered, you will need to bear the costs of your travel to Newfoundland, accommodation and meals, including your key personnel. We have a guest house that is available for Franchisees in training. The availability of the guest house is to be determined at the time of your training. Q: What is the size of an average Mary Brown’s Inc. store? A: Store sizes can vary between 1,800 sft – 3,000 sft preferably with a drive thru. 24
