LHMTs in the target localities supported

          •  (30) IT equipment (PCs) were distributed to 30
          localities in five states. IT equipment will be used to
          improve the working and enabling environment for
          LHMTs and to support implementation of DHIS II
          (Electronic health information system).

         • A workshop on WHO accountability framework to improve health system performance, responsiveness, and compliance to
         advance towards Universal Health Coverage in Sudan with focus on community engagement was organized on July 2018 (Embassy
         of Japan attended part of the workshop,as well as the head of the health and population committee of the parliament of Sudan)
         and the trained national taskforce is being supported to develop the accountability framework.
         On continuity of this, WHO developed a tool to assess the accountability of community engagement and is currently being used
         at North Darfur state in an IDP setting.
         • Community health dialogue sessions with the communities to enhance their involvement in setting the health agenda and define
         the health priorities are conducted in North Kordofan and Sinnar states.
         • Community Health Promotors (CHPs) training package has been developed through an intensive work of TWG supported by a
         consultant through WHO. The training package includes participant manual, facilitators’ guide and key messages. The final draft
         have been reviewed and adopted by a consultation session with wide and variant participants and is ready to conduct TOT and
         trainings using it to train facilitators CHPs all over the country.
         • IEC materials and key health messages to respond to Chikungunya outbreak were printed and distributed.
         • Networks of Community Health Promotors (CHP) were established in 3 State where (730) CHP were trained and linked to
         community surveillance system and emergency preparedness and response as per below details. The CHPs are agreed to be used
         as the key community rapid response teams
