We were learning about nest building, a very important school class. We were sent out to collect material to be used in our nest building exercise. Most of us were getting the usual stuff, like sticks and grass. When all of a sudden, I spotted something really shiny and I knew that it would make my nest the prettiest nest of all.
I thought about how excited my teacher would be when she saw the beautiful shiny thing as part of my nest. I knew that all of the other young crows would praise me and tell me that I made the best nest ever.
As you can imagine, I was very excited and flew down to pick up the shiny thing. Right before I got to it, Carl Crow landed and picked up the shiny thing.
I immediately told myself, ”That’s not fair, I saw it first and should be mine.” I made myself really angry and flew after Carl. I was yelling and flapping my wings and making quite a deal about Carl stealing my “shiny thing”.
