Well, I was probably a lot like you. I was still angry and now embarrassed and I did not want to think about what had happened or how I could have kept it from being such a problem.
So I just sat and sat in the tree. None of the other young crows flew over to visit me or even look at me. Sitting alone got really boring. Despite the fact that I did not really want to think about it, I started thinking about the situation that caused me to become, Timmy Timeout.
I thought I had come up with a “smart” solution so I waved my wing at the teacher. She noticed me and flew over to the Time Out tree. “Yes Cosmos, you wanted to see me”, she said. “Yes” I said, “I know now what I could have done after Carl stole my shiny thing.”
The teacher crow did not say anything; she just listened, so I continued. “I should have waited until he put the shiny thing in his nest and then when he left, I could have taken it back and put it in my nest.”
