“Okay”, was her response. “We should have come here earlier. Others were bound to find out about the tree and come here. We messed up and that’s that.” I was impressed with what Connie said and asked her to explain why she was not as upset as Carl and Cal.
Connie said, “I am disappointed that the others have gotten to the tree but it is there for everyone. We got a late start and the others left at sunrise. Making myself upset about something I can’t change is just foolish.” “But what about Carl and Cal,” I asked.
Connie said that Carl is always telling himself that he is being treated unfairly. “He wants things to go his way and if that does not happen, he makes himself angry. Carl gets angry over anything and this makes others not want to be around him. He may get what he wants but the others get tired of him and don’t want him around.”
