• Beautiful sable hair is in the original tight styling
• All original face paint with matching sable
brows and deep red lips
• Under loop we saw some eye ridge rubs
• Earring holes at ears, no green
• Slightly greasy face vinyl
• It is so very hard to find a brownette with
original face paint as the makeup tends to
easily rub off due to the oily nature of the face
vinyl
• Teensy neck split starting at front neck rim,
does not show on display
• Body is in mint condition with reattached HTF
wrist tag
• Includes black wire stand, original liner and
booklet/shoes in replaced cello
• Box is in very good plus condition and is
marked Bubblecut
• This doll originally came either in a box marked
Bubblecut with no hair color designation, or in
a brunette Bubblecut box

123) JAPANESE NEW MIDGE W/BOX

• The American market Midge was not
well received by the Japanese market.
Accordingly, Mattel produced a special
Midge just for Japanese purchasers
• She has become known as “Japanese
New Midge” and unlike the American
version, has side glancing eyes and no
freckles
• This rare doll is in amazing condition
• It is almost impossible to find a Japanese
Midge without green ear and this doll has
absolutely no green at earring holes
• Her painted hair and blue band are the
same as the American Fashion Queen
Barbie and she was sold with a brunette
flip wig for hair play value
• Under loop we saw very minor rubs in hair
• Factory face paint is in mint condition and
has a very sweet and demure look
• Body is near mint to mint and includes
Japanese New Midge booklet and
brunette wig
• Included is a fair condition American
Midge box is marked blonde
