At ANU, Brena meets her new friends from all over the world. Starting from classmates, friends from organizations on campus,
and from PPIA

“Actually it’s pretty easy to find halal food and safe to eat. If you want to eat in the restaurant, no need to doubt, just ask to the waiter of restaurant and they will gladly tell if its halal or not. And most of all I’m happy because there is a halal market where they sell halal meat,” remarked Brena. Australians are very welcome

Their tolerance in the religion and culture aspect is also high. Not only being active in college
as a post graduate students, Brena also participated in the organization PPIA (Indonesian Student Association of
Australia).
 Sometimes Brena feels
homesick. “If I feel homesick. So I’m looking for a distraction like going out of the house. I’m jogging, doing a little exercise, capturing landscape, because I like photographs,” stated the 25-year-old female student.
