Yield and yield attributes of sugarcane
Tiller population, number of millable cane, unit cane weight and cane yield were
not significantly differed among the different intercrops combinaton. The highest number

of tiller 222 × 10 ha and 225 × 10 ha were obtained from T 2 (PRC + Onion - BINA

Mung 5) treatment in both the years, The highest number of millable cane of 99 × 10 ha -
1 3 -1
and 108 × 10 ha were obtained from T 2 (PRC + Onion - BINA Mung 5) and T 7
treatment in 2008-09 and 2009-10 season, respectively. The highest unit cane weight of
0.94 kg was found with T 6 (PRC + 24 cm row spacing of onion seed crop - BINA Mung 5)
in 2008-2009 and that of 0.90 kg were obtained from T 1 and T 3 in 2009-10 seasons. The

highest cane yield of 91.54 tha and 93.12 tha were obtained from T 2 (PRC + Onion -
BINA Mung 5) treatment in 2008-09 and 2009-10 season, respectively (Table 2).
