The Council is the Board of Directors of the Institute. Its composition is governed by by-laws,
policy and practice as outlined below.
Reference Duty of Council:
By-Law 10 (d) It shall be the duty of Council to carry on the work of the Institute
according to the Objects, By-laws, Code of Ethics, and Regulations of the
Institute.
Composition of Council & Terms of Office:
By-Law 10 (b) The Council of the Institute shall consist of the officers identified below,
the Past President and Councillors.
By-Law 10 (a) Officers of Council: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer.
By-Law 10 (b) Councillors: Not less than three and not more than six.
Nominating Committee
By-Law 10 (f) At least two months prior to the Annual General Meeting, Council shall
appoint a Nominating Committee to nominate a slate of Officers and
Councillors for the coming Council year. The Nominating Committee
appoints Officers and Councillors to IPIC Council.
Practice The Nominating Committee is comprised of the following members:
President (Current Year)
Past President
Immediate Past President
Resident Associate Member of the Institute (chosen by the
President)
