Lists
In order to organise followers and provide members and the public with useful information,
IPIC may create publicly viewable lists of organisations and individuals following its account.
These lists do not imply endorsement of any kind.
If you do not wish to be included on one of these lists, you may request to be removed by
contacting IPIC staff at admin@ipic.ca.
Privacy
IPIC takes your confidential and private information seriously. Please visit Twitter’s Privacy
Policy for more information
@Replies and Direct Messages
IPIC welcomes feedback and ideas from its followers.
The IPIC staff reads all @replies and Direct Messages. All emerging topics, feedback and
suggestions are forwarded to the appropriate IPIC staff member.
IPIC does not provide legal advice.
The usual ways of contacting IPIC for official correspondence are detailed in the Contact Us
and Media sections of the IPIC website.
Hashtags (#)
Hashtags are keywords used on Twitter to distinguish content. These keywords are preceded
by a # sign. This facilitates filtering of information and enables users to share information
more meaningfully.
IPIC may use hashtags when providing live coverage of events (live-tweeting), or discussing a
trending topic.
Link shortening
Unless they are already very short URLs, tweets will be shortened using link compressing sites
(ie: bitly.com.)
