For the rehabilitation of watershed forests, the Ministry of Natural Resources and
Environment is the coordinating agency to move forward the objectives. This work begins with
identifying the scope of utilization, conservation, buffler zone and land use areas that is suitable for
watershed classification; 1 and 2 exempted by the Cabinet Resolution, by describing the target areas
which receive severe effect on water resources such as river basins in the northern and southern
part of country in the first stage. In addition, the efforts are moving forward of both strategies
implementation and cropping system adjustment to reduce soil erosion.
