The different types of adjectives
1. Descriptive adjectives (colour, size, shape, quality)
Name the quality of a noun or pronoun that it modifies
2. Proper adjectives (European, Chinese, French)
Derived from a proper noun
3. Quantitative adjectives (much, many, numerous)
Modify nouns for details in quantifying
4. Numeral adjectives (five, second, double)
Modify nouns for details in quantifying which is divided into three perspectives:
cardinal number (exact quantity), ordinal number (hierarchical number) and
multiplicative number (double number)
5. Demonstrative adjectives (this, that, these, those)
Show whether a noun is singular or plural and whether it is near or far
6. Interrogative adjectives (what, which, when)
Modify noun as a questioning form
7. Possessive adjectives (my, our, your, his, their)
Express possession of a noun by someone or something
8. Distributive adjectives (each, every, either, neither)
