Error to avoid in
Correlative Conjunction
For subject-verb agreement, when using either or neither
the verb agrees with the second subject, NOT the first.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Either Jojo or Manny look after our dog when we’re away for work.
Either Jojo or Manny looks after our dog when we’re away for work.
Either Jojo or his friends looks after our dog when we’re away for work.
Either Jojo or his friends look after our dog when we’re away for work.
Neither Dio nor Jojo know about last night incidents.
Neither Dio nor Jojo knows about last night incidents.
Neither Dio nor his friends knows know about last night incidents

When using neither, it is wrong to add another negative word couldn't.
Neither is a negative word. Two negative words make the sentence positive.

I could go neither by bus nor by car
