1.1 WHAT ARE ADJECTIVES?
Adjectives modify a noun or pronoun. Adjectives occur before the noun
or are linked to the noun with verb ‘to be’. Adjectives are used in many
ways to add in the descriptions and details to the nouns and pronouns.
Moreover, there are different types of adjectives which can be imple-
mented in different situation of a sentence.
Here are some examples of adjectives before the noun and adjectives
which linked to the noun with verb to be.
1. Adjectives before the noun
A) The muscular lifeguard works at the seaside.
B) The crystal clear sea water.
C) A majestic sandcastle.
2. Adjectives which linked to the noun with verb to be
A) The lifeguard who work at the seaside is muscular.
B) The sea water is crystal clear.
C) The sandcastle is majestic.
