1.1.2 TYPES OF ADJECTIVES

Adjectives are usually used to answer three questions regard-

ing the nouns which are described.

These questions are:

1. Which one?

2. How many?

3. What kind of?

To answer these questions precisely, different types of adjec-

tives are being used, mainly demonstrative adjectives, com-
mon adjectives and proper adjectives.

1. Which seashells is the prettiest?

That one.

2. How many ships are there at the seaside?
Seven big ships and four small ships.

3. What kind of jellyfish you saw just now?
I saw a transparent jelly fish.
