In the autumn term, Year 4 covered the topic
01-03 Trip to Fleet Air Arm ‘Explorers and Adventurers’. We visited the SS
Museum
Great Britain and set sail on The Matthew around
Bristol harbour in October. In the spring term, our
topic was ‘Inventions that Changed the World.’
We went on a great trip to Fleet Air Arm Museum
to learn all about the invention of flight. In the
summer term, we started with the topic ‘Young
Entrepreneurs’ and created some very profitable
stalls for the May fair. Our final topic was ‘Earth,
Space, Time and Place.’ We had a great open
morning where parents came in to help build a 3D
model of the solar system with us. We then had
the Explorer Dome visit us to tell us all about the
wonders of space. In the summer term, all of Year
4 performed in the Summer Concert as part of the
Year 4 orchestra which they had been practicing all
year for. A great accomplishment! The end of the
year saw us all go on the Year 4 residential camp to
Badminton Woods. A busy and fantastic year!
