        location stands today).  He was a prolific writer and inventor.  We
        know his more famous published works included being one of five

        men to draft the Declaration of Independence, and was one of
        thirteen to draft the Articles of Confederation.

            Benjamin Franklin was a colonial diplomat to England for
        Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Georgia, and New Jersey.  He would

        map a route for mail delivery and in 1762 became the first colonial
        postmaster general.  After our Country's independence he would be

        ambassador to France, until his return in 1785.  In that year the
        Constitutional Convention drafted the Constitution.  Philadelphia

        was home to Independence Hall, where the Second Continental
        Congress passed both the Declaration of Independence and the

        Constitution.
