Revolutionary, Founding Father and formed 'Sons of Liberty'
Samuel Adams is one of the lesser known, yet publically one of
the most influential, of the Founding Fathers; he might be best
known as the cousin of John Adams. For those recalling our
Country's history, and as previously noted in this work, he was the
founder of the Sons of Liberty, who were involved in both instigating
what became the Boston Massacre and organizing the Boston Tea
Party. He is an influential figure in the grassroots efforts of the
colonies and colonists in seeking reform during the era of American
Enlightenment. His efforts continued into the American War for
Independence. So much so, that he was one of the subjects
attempted to be arrested with the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
followed by the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
Samuel Adams was a delegate from Massachusetts to the
Continental Congress and supported independence from England.
He is a signer of the Declaration of Independence and followed
Thomas Jefferson's political leanings during the early birth of our
