Founding Father, Continental Congress, Statesman, and Virginia

                                             Governor

Patrick Henry is seen most prominently in our Country's history
with his call for independence from England, with his oft-quoted,

“...give me Liberty or give me Death!” speech as previously noted in

this work. Henry was much more than his speech before Virginia

oppression and tyranny of the colonies by England. He spoke out
against the Stamp Act, citing that only the colonies have the right to

tax their citizens. He enumerated how to react to this unlawful act,
which were printed and distributed throughout the thirteen

colonies. Henry found himself such a prominent figure in the
growing unrest of the colonies, that he was appointed as a delegate

to the Continental Congress. There he met other like-minded
revolutionaries, including Samuel Adams. It was with Samuel Adams
