A Patriot’s view of the history and direction of our Country

Other issues that should concern people – being taxed,

penalized and regulated before the healthcare. What of requiring a
free market capitalist employer to be subjected to a socialist

agenda? How about guaranteed insurance? Wrong – it does not
guarantee any person will be insured or treated, or that a person

will not be denied coverage. What it guarantees is that for a fee
they can opt to be covered, within the terms that the government

imposes. So, for the person with a pre-existing condition (i.e.
diabetes is a frequent topic) they will be able to buy insurance, but

at a rate significantly higher than the person without diabetes. That
is how things work, even in socialism – misinformation foments

misperception and creates self-perpetuating victims. If you have
known conditions that will cost the insurer, they have an obligation

to protect their assets and other insured by providing an
appropriate premium, just like car insurance. What about those

cheaper medications? They will not be any cheaper, unless an
insurance program makes it so. First, why would an insurance

company agree to a premium that the cost of the insured’s
prescription medications will exceed the premiums? Why would any

consumer expect to pay a $250 monthly premium when their pre-
existing medications cost $750 per month? To the former,

remember the bell curve? For insurance actuaries, part of the bean
counting is how many at the top – the smallest percentage (this area

also represents the rich of the economic bell curve) will be those

that use more than their premiums. This amount should fluctuate
throughout the year and annually. The bottom of the bell, the next
smaller percentage (this area also represents the poor of the
