A Patriot’s view of the history and direction of our Country

hour work weeks. The military services are also exempt from many

of the workplace conditions that unions were able to lay the
groundwork and efforts in implementing at the state and national

                   levels.
The downfall of unions began during a time of their greed and

corruption, and the creation of the cabinet departments of Labor
and Education. The need for unions was greatly diminished after

their significant accomplishments of wages, including minimum, and
workplace conditions were realized. These cabinet level

departments should be have been replaced, not enjoined, the
unions. However, the unions transitioned from the politics of

legislative lobbying to the politics of influencing government policy.
Through their influence t is much easier to influence policy than

legislation. Two examples are the cabinet departments of Education
and Labor; however, all departments are susceptible. These two

cabinet departments do not serve the welfare of the people or our
Country and are best dissolved. Additional efforts by unions to

maintain the strong influence they have through minimal
membership remains through growing their membership base

                   through vote pandering.
Recent efforts by unions to increase membership have been by

force of will over the employee opting to join. There remain pockets
of ‘union shops’, where employees must join the representative

union – and go along with the union policies and politics, even if

they do not agree. The public and employees have learned the
growing negligent value of the organized labor, unions. This resorts
to thuggery to accomplish goals that are detrimental to the
