A Patriot’s view of the history and direction of our Country

                                          State Sovereignty

                                    Nationally and Internationally
Our Country was founded on freedom – sovereignty of our

Country and the several states. It is easy to understand the concept
of a sovereign nation. What is often displaced is the concept of

sovereignty of our Country when it comes to the United Nations and
world treaties. What is often displaced is the concept of sovereignty

of the states – individually and collectively. It is important to the
survival of our Country, and all it represents, that sovereignty be

clearly understood. Sovereignty is the supreme and
independent power or authority of government. The sovereignty of

our Country is absolute and affirmed in Article Six, Section Two of
our Constitution, “This Constitution, and the Laws of the United

States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties
made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United

States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every
state shall be bound thereby, anything in the constitution or laws of

any state to the contrary notwithstanding.” This unequivocally
provides that any conflict of state law and federal law, deference

must be made to federal law. This sets up the Tenth Amendment,
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution,

nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States
respectively, or to the people.” This has been previously analyzed in

this work. Together, these provide the sovereignty and relationship

of our Country and states. It also lays down the law to states that
treaties recognized by the federal government must be recognized
                   by the states.
