A Patriot’s view of the history and direction of our Country

sovereignty of our Country. This checks and balances are intended

to prevent our sovereignty, our Constitution, from being trampled
on by other governments, international alliances and organizations,

and to include our own government. It is unconstitutional, and
beyond offensive – it is treason – to enter into any agreement with

any foreign government or form of government that undermines or
is contrary to our Constitution. It cannot be emphasized enough

that our Bill of Rights empowers and protects We the People and
restricts our government – it does not empower the government.

Our government is constitutionally prohibited from infringing on our
Bill of Rights or acting outside of the supreme law of the

                   Constitution.
This sovereignty extends to the states by the Constitutional

requirement that the states must individually and collectively follow
the rule of international treaties ratified by the federal government.

Similarly, states may also reach agreements with other states, or
‘compacts’ and reciprocity. At a national level, a driver license from

one state is recognized by all. At the states level, concealed carry
permit reciprocity is dependent on state law and agreement, often

as long as each state mutually has the same minimum requirements.
This concept of national and international sovereignty of the states

is important to states’ rights and individual rights. When an
international treaty or agreement will negatively impact states, or

positively impact states, those considerations should be the priority

of the senate when debating and voting on ratification. Due to the
impact of international treaties on our Constitution and Bill of
Rights, as well as national, state and individual sovereignty over the
