Director of Security for the Infomart Building in Dallas but after only 6 months, I got laid off during the great Financial
Crisis of 2008. At that point, I was totally available to assist him in marketing "Taurus Investigations".
After helping him to get his business off the ground and assisting in the investigations for approximately 2 years, I had
concerns that Gil was never really going to ask me to marry him and felt that I needed a means to assure that I could
take care of myself so I decided to take the exam and begin my own PI company. August 2010, Stiletto Spy & Company
Investigations began! I was (and still am) a Commissioned Law Enforcement Officer and had a LOT of experience
working and teaching Crimes Against Children cases. There is a great need for investigators with experience in knowing
how to interview children who are the subjects in these cases and the wisdom of finding the truth, no matter which side
the truth lands. Word of Mouth spread like wildfire about my expertise in these cases and the fact that I was a former
Chief of Police. I am now well-known in many courts around the DFW area of Texas and word continues to spread. Feel
free to call me if I can ever be of service!
OH, I forgot to add that HE FINALLY ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM and we have been married since 6/25/2011. The best 10
years of my life!

I got started in the investigation business a couple months after I got out of the Army. January 1998 I got a call from
another guy that I had served with in the Military Police. He had gotten out about 8-10 months before me. He said he
was working for a pi company based in Dallas and they were looking for someone to work in Houston because they had
just obtained a company license for Louisiana and their only Houston guy had volunteered to move there. The 4 guys
who started the company were all former Army MP's too and they were trying to hire only former military police from
any branch of military. I sent my resume and 2 days later I was in the Dallas area for an interview. A week after that I
was in their training program as their 20th employee. I started out as a surveillance investigator then moved into SIU
type stuff taking statements, doing scene investigations, etc then I got moved into management after 4 years. After 4
years of client relations, helping other managers with their case loads etc. we were nationwide and still growing. At that
time I branched out and took the test to get my own Texas agency license. That was July 2005. I haven't looked back
since.

I was a career firefighter after taking my leave from the Marine Corps. In 1980, I was forced to retire from a back injury
and left with nothing to do with my time but knowing that I was NOT going to retire at such a young age. I did a stint in
LE and used my skills as an arson investigator from the FD to build a little niche in interviewing. When I left LE,
investigations was a logical choice so, in 1987, I opened Goldstar Investigations in TN and haven't looked back since. It's
funny how we always go full circle but now, 35 years later, we're moving BACK to Florida where it all started.

How did I become a Private Investigator? I have always been one to question how things work and used logical thinking
to try and figure things out. Like being on one of those rides at a county fair, I would be looking to see what was holding
the seats in place, which wasn’t comforting, even as a carefree teenager. Sometimes that desire to figure how things
worked have caused some minor issues. Like when I decided to take my washing machine apart. It didn’t work out how
intended and I ended up calling a repairman to fix my mistake – which in turn cost me more in the long run. However, I
learned another one of those life lessons.
