Fatigue
Long term stress/anxiety/panic attacks can also
exhaust your adrenal glands. Every time you
engage your SNS, adrenaline is released from the
adrenal glands. Think back to the bear example. If
you are confronted with a dangerous situation, you
want adrenaline running through your body. It may
be the difference between surviving and not
surviving.
However, you are not designed to use your adrenal
glands continuously. If you do so because you are
constantly under stress or anxious, the adrenals can
become exhausted and stop working properly. In
addition to fatigue, overtaxed adrenals can also lead
to depression, low blood pressure, dizziness, low
sex drive, weight gain, loss of muscle tone and
immune dysfunction just to name a few.
What you can do to help control stress, anxiety or
panic attacks.
