- anything that causes us to worry recreates the
SNS response within your body.
Imagine for a moment a deer in the woods.
How often does it feel threatened? How much time
is the deer's SNS engaged? The honest answer is
very little of the time – maybe 3 - 5 %.
Occasionally the deer may run across a predator
and then it simply runs to safety. The rest of the
time it spends grazing, walking and resting.
Now lets take another animal as example – man.
How much time does the average human being
(you for example) spend in an SNS state? A few
questions will help you assess this:
1. How much time do you spend worrying
about _________?
2. How often do you run scenarios in your head
of bad things that happened or may
potentially happen?
3. How often do you feel stressed?
4. How often do you have a difficult time
sleeping because your mind is racing?
