The Repair / Replacement of Tissues Stage

Once the damaged area has been cleared out, the

body wants to lay down fresh new tissue. For this

to happen, the chemical and electrical signals

which turned inflammation on have to be turned off

and the signals for tissue repair/replacement have

to be turned on.

In most cases, the body can do this naturally all

by itself. In some cases, however, because there is

continued damage or because the body does not

turn off and on the correct signals, the body stays in

the inflammation stage. In this case you continue to

experience pain long after you should and because

the body cannot lay down new tissue while

inflammation is occurring, you are more likely to

injure yourself.
