PEST analysis
1.1 PEST analysis
In order to fully understand an organisation, we need to fully examine the
environment that it operates in.
This analysis should include the following factors:
Political/legal
factors
Economic PEST Technological
factors analysis factors
Social/
demographic
factors
The same categorisation of environmental factors is sometimes referred to as
PESTLE analysis – political, economic, social, technical, legal and ecological/
environmental.
