Benefits management
The purpose of the benefits management process is to improve the
identification of achievable benefits and to ensure that decisions and
actions taken over the life of the investment lead to realising all the
feasible benefits.
6.1 A benefits realisation process
1 Identify and structure benefits – e.g. scaling the benefits
2 Plan benefits realisation – e.g. using a BDN
3 Execute benefits plan – e.g. follow the BDN
4 Review and evaluate results – reviews are covered in the next chapter
5 Establish potential for further benefits – emergent benefits means that this
may be a never ending process
