At the AGM last week I bumped into Josh Tillman, from ABC Funds Co, Novak’s largest
institutional investor.

He was moaning at me for twenty minutes about all sorts of things – e.g. Novak’s lack of growth,
declining profit margin, reducing return on equity, and PosterRend being bigger than Novak.
He kept saying that as a listed company we should be doing more to increase the wealth of our
shareholders.

I began to think it might be easier for us if we weren’t listed! No more moaning shareholders to
worry about!

Any thoughts?

It was good to meet you at the recent AGM. At the end of the meeting, I was chatting to an old
mate Jamie Cook, who is a non-executive director at Groenne Co.

He was talking about IFRS 7, and how it has enabled Groenne Co to communicate important
information to its shareholders.

I must admit I didn’t really understand what he meant!

Could you explain to me what IFRS 7 is? And what information it requires us to disclose?
I’d like to be better informed next time I have a conversation like that!
