Unique Features: Fluent and impressive handwriting in Rashi script. Copy of the London manuscript, Jews College 26 in chapter 14, 1837.
Content: Chochma V'Chassidut - published in the journal Hamaskili, Kerem Chemed in (1836). Written by Yitzchak Arthur (1791-1851), an author and member of the Enlightenment movement in Galicia. He integrates autobiographical experiences from the author׳s life, and relates, in uent Biblical language, a dream with two female gures who represent chassidut and wisdom ght for the author׳s soul. e story was written from a ‘enlightened׳ perspective criticizing Galician Jewry׳s old way of life, its chassidim and leaders. e main criticism is directed against the chassidic leaders who he claims, are deceitful and take large sums of money from su ering people in exchange for salvation.

Content: e story which appears in manuscript form before us, is part of the argument between two people regarding the character traits of the ea and the ant, with their advantages and disadvantages. It relates, in the form of a story, the way a ea bothers a man and woman, when they are unable to escape from it.

תוכן: חסידות וחכמה - יצא לאור בכתב העת המשכילי, כרם חמד ב (1836). נכתב על ידי יצחק ארטר (1791-1851), סופר מאנשי תנועת ההשכלה בגאלציה. משלב חוויות אוטוביוגרפיות מחיי הסופר, ומספר, בלשון מקראית שוטפת, חלום ובו שתי דמויות נשיות המייצגות את החסידות ואת החכמה ונאבקות על נשמת המספר. הסיפור נכתב מגישה משכילית המבקרת את צורת החיים הישנה של יהדות גאליציה, חסידיה ומנהיגיה. עיקר הביקורת היא כנגד מנהיגי החסידים, שלטענתו, פועלים במרמה וגובים כסף רב מאנשים במצוקה על מנת שיביאו להם ישועה.

תוכן: בסיפור המופיע בכתב היד שלפנינו הוא חלק מוויכוח בין שני אנשים בעניין תכונות הפרעוש והנמלה, ביתרונותיהם ובחסרונותיהם. מופיע תיאור סיפורי של הדרכים בהם מציק הפרעוש לגבר ולאשה,
מבלי שניתן להתחמק ממנו.
רקע: רבי יהודה אלחריזי (1165-1225 בערך) נולד בספרד, קיבל חינוך יהודי רבני לצד השכלה בתרבות הערבית ובלשונה. היה בקי בתנ״ך ותלמוד והתמחה בלשון העברית ובדקדוקה.

Background: Rabbi Yehuda Elcharizi (circa 1165-1225) was born in Spain and received a Jewish rabbinic education alongside education in Arab culture and language. He was uent in the Bible and Talmud and an expert in the Hebrew language and grammar.
