Sod Hashem. Laws and service of circumcision, by Rabbi David Lida with the rulings of the Mahari Weil and others, and with remedies in Yiddish. Amsterdam, 1745. With a mohel's handwritten ledger.
Speci cations: 30 leaves, followed by [4] leaves with the names of those circumcised.
Unique Features: e Mohel׳s name is embossed on the binding: Uri son of Lipman Rentz, 1801. On the last pages, he recorded by hand the names of the babies he circumcised. He begins: My heart is astir with good, I desire to do Your will, so I said I have come with a scroll of a book written about me, these are the names of the children of Israel who have entered under the wings of the Divine Presence, through me, through the commandment of circumcision and periah ... the rst baby was circumcised on 22 Sivan 5560 [ June 15, 1800] and the last one in 1816. At rst he circumcised in Amsterdam and later in Harderwijk in central Holland. Another location is also men- tioned. A total of 35 circumcised babies.

מאפיינים יחודיים: על הכריכה מוטבע שם המוהל: אורי בן ליפמן רענץ, תקס״א. בעמודים האחרונים הוא כתב לזכרון בכתב יד את השמות התינוקות שנימולו על ידו. הוא פותח בדבריו: רחש לבי דבר טוב, לעשות רצונך חפצתי, אז אמרתי באתי במגלת ספר כתוב עלי, אלה שמות בני ישראל הבאים תחת כנפי השכינה על ידי על ידי מצות מילה ופריעה... התינוק הראשון נימול ביום כ״ב סיון תק״ס והאחרון בשנת תקע״ו. בתחילה הוא מל באמשטרדם אחר כך בהרדרוויק שבמרכז הולנד,
ומוזכר גם מריזשפעהן. סה״כ כ-35 נימולים. מצב: טוב. כתמי זמן רבים. כריכה מקורית מיוחדת.
