as well as the secretarial and bookkeeping staff of the Central Office and other specialist
                   roles. The Superintendent acts as the Chief Executive Officer of the School Committee in
                   the operation of the schools.
                   Milestones
                   In May, 2015, the term of School Committee Member Marc Mercier ended after having
                   served three years on the committee. Carol Hubbard filled the vacancy with her election
                   to serve a three year term. David Rivers was re-elected to a second three year term.
                   In June, Art Teacher Pamela Dalton was honored at the State House as a semi-finalist in
                   the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year program.
                   Mrs. M.  Jane Bonaventura retired from her  position as a  Speech and  Language
                   Pathologist at the Harry  Lee Cole School after twenty-six  years of  service to the
                   community. Donna Eckman retired from her role as an ESP Math Coach at the Spofford
                   Pond School having served in the role from 20003-2015. Mrs. Susan Bodwell retired in
                   June as the Director of School Nutrition for Boxford  after twenty-five  years and
                   Topsfield after thirty-three years of service to each community. Mrs. Ann Knight retired
                   from her position as a School Secretary at the Harry Lee Cole School, having served from
                   2005-2015. Mrs. Knight had also served for six years from 1995-2001 as a member of the
                   School Committee and School Building Committee.

                   Staff Anniversaries
                   Thirty staff members observed five-year anniversaries of service in our schools in 2015-
                   2016. Five-year service pins were presented to Arlene Amendolara, Toni Fitzgerald,
                   Mary  Galardi, Brian Middleton-Cox, Courtney  Bush,  Lee Camuso,  Karen Hussey,
                   Alexandra Johnson, Rebecca Kelly  and Jamie  Maltz. Ten  year pins were presented to
                   Michael Capozzi, Tiffany Stone, Julie Jayne, Barbara Boulay, Kathryn Magee, and Diana
                   Mazzaglia. Fifteen  year pins were presented to Cynthia Burns, Sharon Davis, Sara
                   Hartley,  Lisa Holt, Ellen Rice, Dorothy Patch, Caroline Cashin, Pamela Dalton, and
                   Patricia Frizzell.  Twenty  year pins were presented to Donna Madden and Candyce
                   Wainwright. Mary Ann York was recognized for her twenty-five years of service to the
                   Boxford Elementary Schools.

                   New Staff Appointments
                   Harry  Lee Cole School  welcomed the new staff members  Josephine  Lee, Secretary;
                   Cortney Dalen, Clerical Aide; Hollie Tavares, Endicott College  Fellow; Kathleen
                   Reardon, Behavior Specialist; Maria Guidi, Kindergarten Teacher; Jake Siebert, Behavior
                   Specialist; Jessica Fuller, Math Coach; Adam Halley, Physical Education; Amy Daly,
                   Educational Support  Personnel; David  Bove, ESL Teacher; Robin Mullen,
                   Speech/Language Therapist; and Ellen Nee, Speech/Language Therapist.
                   Spofford Pond Elementary School welcomed new staff Kara Malo, Grade Four Teacher;
                   David Bove, ESL Teacher; Dayna Horgan, Music Teacher; Kristina Valcourt, Education
                   Support Personnel; Lauren Iola, Education Support Personnel; Joseph Lovati, Education
                   Support Personnel; and Rachel Eramo, Education Support Personnel.
                   Achievements of Note in 2015
                   Enrollment/ Class Size:  In June, enrollment numbers for Kindergarten swelled
                   significantly above projections. Understanding the Boxford learning community
                   expectation to retain class sizes under 20, particularly in Kindergarten, the School
