Firstly, I would like to thank the amazing group of Active Lifesavers at Sunshine Beach for the support and assistance during my first season in this role. From the most experienced PC’s to the Club’s newest Bronzies and SRC’s you have all stepped up when I needed you.
Speaking of needing you, I want to pay special mention to the amazing spirit of the Club when I made a rookie error and missed rostering patrols for the Boxing Day Public Holiday. When asked to help out, at what is a busy time of
the year for everyone, I was both overwhelmed and humbled when over 70 Active Lifesaving members volunteered to do an extra shift to keep the beach open ... that’s the spirit of a Club I am so proud to be a part of .... Thank you all.
Our great new club and our enduring Club spirit continue to attract new members. Season 2020/21 has seen a strong number of new patrolling members including those from one of the largest Bronze Medallion Courses held at Sunshine. To those who have come through our training courses
