When no one is there I am like a scary deer,
Then you come here,
Say there is no need to fear.
When I do deed wrong,
My mother scolds me very strong,
You say no need to cry,
You are my beautiful butterfly.
I remember those stories that you told me,
Those hidden morals that you wanted to give me.
When I got tired enough,
You gave me a mug of milk. “By holding my hand, you say,
Wouldn’t I get an affectionate hug”.
GRANDMA, you said always be keen,
To learn each and everything.
Respect your elders and teachers,
Then you become every heart’s queen.
