Dan Roche passed away in 1987, when I was 8. His parting
gift to me was a deep-seated love of the game of football

which meant that later in life, I would be compelled to get
involved with Callan United from hearing the endearing
stories of how my Dad is a club "legend". I now develop that

same grin when Dan Roche is mentioned in relation to our
club.

I'd like to believe that he, in some form, has paved the way for
what we hope to achieve at Callan United over the coming

years. His 'club-first' philosophy is in evidence daily as Callan
United to progress to the next level.

So to all our sponsors, organisers, volunteers, attendees, of

course the acts and anybody who has made a contribution to
the club, we offer our sincerest thanks.
