  'Any one illness'

               It means the continuous period of illness, including relapse


               within a certain number of days as specified in the policy.


               Usually this is 45 days






               Additional Benefits and other stand-alone policies:




               Insurance companies offer various other benefits as “Add-ons”

               or riders. A few companies have come out with products in the


               nature of Top Up policies to meet the actual expenses over and

               above the limit available in the basic health policy. This is of


               special advantage when someone has taken a health insurance

               plan several years ago and never considered increasing the sum


               assured. Now with main carrier not agreeing to increase sum

               assured, a top up policy can be availed from another insurer.


               This is used only after the sum assured in the main policy is

               exhausted.


                     A Hospitalization policy covers, fully or partly (as per

                       policy terms and conditions), the actual cost of the


                       treatment for hospital admissions during the policy period.

                       This is a wider form of coverage applicable for various
