7.2.4 Equipment / Glassware
Each of you will have your own drawer with your own glassware. You are responsible with all
the glassware.
At the beginning of each practical session, please ensure that all your glassware are
available in your designated drawer. If you fail to do so, you will have to pay for any missing
glassware. You are also responsible to pay for any broken glassware.
Please ensure that you use a suitable equipment each time. If you are unsure, you can
ask the lecturer in-charge. The glassware/equipment that you use should be specified in your
worksheet/report. Some important points are as follow:
All equipments should be clean at all time
All equipments/ glassware are available in the drawer
Report any missing/broken glassware
All equipments should be arranged neatly in the drawer
Liquids less than 10 mL, please use a pipette
Viscous liquids, avoid using a pipette
Use a suitable equipment each time. Ask if you are unsure
There are different types of measuring equipments in your drawer. They can be summarized
as follows:
