• Served as counsel to Amazon Studios in multiple areas of its entertainment activities, including in connection with Amazon’s television (scripted and unscripted) series and feature productions, including:
• Negotiated the largest docu-series deal in television history on behalf of our client Royal Goode Productions, of “Tiger King” with Netflix. The series became a pandemic phenomenon and one of the most watched shows ever for Netflix. The series received six Emmy Award nominations including outstanding documentary, outstanding directing for a documentary (Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin), outstanding picture editing for a nonfiction program, outstanding music composition for a documentary, outstanding sound editing for a limited series and outstanding sound mixing for a reality program.

- First Look Deals with Lizzo, Teddy Riley and Aaron Buchsbaum, Viola Davis’ Juvee Production, and Gael Garcia Bernal/Diego Luna’s La Corriente del Golfo and many others.
- Negotiations in connection with a new deal with Judge Judy Sheindlin, who per Forbes is the highest-paid host in television. Wrapping up the 25 year run of her syndicated show “Judge Judy,” Ms. Sheindlin has agreed to a new show, which will stream exclusively on IMDb TV, Amazon’s free, ad-supported streaming service and will feature Judge Sheindlin’s signature no-nonsense adjudication style with a new array of cases, litigants and judgments.
- Negotiation of LuckyChap Entertainment’s first-look TV deal with Amazon. Under the deal, LuckyChap’s Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, and Josey McNamara will work with Amazon Studios to create television projects that will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
- Negotiations in connection with its license of the right to develop a television series based on the worldwide best-selling game franchise “Fallout” for its Prime Video service. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of Kilter Films (creators of Westworld), under their overall deal with Amazon, will executive produce the series in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
- Rights acquisition and writer/executive producer deals for new project, “Nancy Wu Done It”, a young adult comedy series from writers and executive producers Kai Yu Wu and Jessica Henwick. The series follows a frustrated Asian American female Young Adult author who suddenly finds herself transported into one of her own books.
