Personal Effects Inventory: If the Recovery Agent inventories personal property via
computer, this form is not usually necessary to complete. However, be sure the personal
property inventory complies with the instructions outlined in this certification program.
Incident Report Form: Anytime an incident occurs involving the Recovery Agent in the
field an Incident Report Form must be filed. Incidents include, but are not limited to:
1. any time law enforcement is involved, or a police report is filed
2. anytime the collateral Recovery Agent is involved in a personal or vehicular
accident
3. anytime collateral is damaged while in possession of the collateral Recovery Agent
4. anytime physical contact is made with a debtor or third party
5. anytime a person is injured in the presence of the collateral Recovery Agent
6. any unusual circumstance involving, or witnessed by the collateral Recovery Agent
(to be determined by the Recovery Agent
If you are unsure whether or not to report an incident, report it, especially if it
involves a debtor. An angry or belligerent debtor may very well attempt to exaggerate
a situation for financial or personal gain. Detailed reporting of incidents allows
management to assist in resolving such issues.
