            Bernard Evslin was an American author best                                                AUTHOR
            known for his adaptations of Greek mythology.                                             INTRO
            With over  seventy  titles, which include  both-
            length retellings and short stories, Evslin is one
            of the most widely published authors of classical
            mythology in the world. His best-known work is
            Heroes, Gods, and Monsters of the Greek Myths,
            which sold more than ten million copies world-
            wide and has been translated into ten different
            languages.


            He was born on April 4, 1922, in New Rochelle,
            New York, US, and studied at Rutgers University
            at New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.
            In  1967,  his  comedy  “The  Geranium  Hat”  was
            well-received on Broadway, but three years later
            his play “Step on a Crack” starring Rita Hayworth
            closed after only one performance at the Ethel
