               Section 5 – Conference

               Procedure

Dos and Don’ts in the Conference

                 1. The last day, i.e. day 5, is the conference day. In this, each candidate is

called into the conference room one by one for a final look. Before the

candidate is called in, a conference on the findings by all the three
assessors, namely the Psychologist, the GTO and the Interviewing

Officer is conducted before a final decision is arrived at. All stages of
the test are important. It is the collective opinion of all three assessors

that matters. A candidate cleared by one assessor can also get cleared if

there is a consensus and a candidate cleared by all three assessors may
also be dropped in the conference, based on some doubts about the

candidate which may get confirmed by all three. Hence, if you have not

been able to do well in any particular test/technique, do not give up and
continue to do well till the last.

                 2. Once in the conference hall, you will suddenly feel nervous as there will

be at least 8 to 10 officers in uniform and the entire environment will be
very formal. However, only the person who interviewed you will

normally speak to you. He may ask you some questions about your stay

at the centre, any difficulties that you may have faced, etc. Thereafter,
