e. Music
f. Sports and games
g. Current affairs
While this section is difficult to predict, the best way to prepare is to read
newspapers/magazines regularly. The questions on sports and games, music,
etc. will be based on what you have indicated as your hobbies and interests in
your PIQ form. Hence, you can prepare based on what you write in the PIQ
form. It may be wise to first fill up the PIQ form given in the earlier section
and accordingly do your preparations. Also, remember to know more about
the specific service/arm you intend to join. For example, if you are attending
the interview for the Navy, you must know the various ranks, awards,
command headquarters and its location, present Commander-in-Chief, the
Chief of the Naval Staff, various ports and their locations, latest acquisitions
and developments, etc.
Sequence 7
This section is about self-evaluation. The question will be somewhat like this:
“Please tell me what you feel are the strong points or assets in your
personality and what would you like to improve or develop further?”
Though it seems to be a simple question, it is the most difficult to answer.
While you may be able to rattle out your strengths, the weaknesses or areas to
improve are the most difficult to mention because very few of us have real
insight into our own self, as most of the time we are busy evaluating others.
While answering this question, remember never to say the following:
a. Fear of height and ditch which you want to overcome
b. Difficulty in mixing with others
c. I am an introvert or a loner
d. I find it difficult to make friends
e. I am scared
