second term of their
curriculum where one of
the subject involved
gauging the moisture
content from the
footprints in the soil and
determining the nearest
position of the animal. They were introduced to various sets of footprints i.e.
Tiger, elephant, lion, leopard etc. One day during their normal field work
Awdhesh figured out a footprint and concluded that the footprint is of a tiger
and the soil being moist giving it an indication that the footprints are fresh
and the animal must be somewhere nearby. Nikhil and Inder were a little bit
skeptical to make a forward move but Awdhesh was determined to go ahead
and trace the tiger. Awdhesh passed the message to the authorities over
wireless and encouraged Nikhil and Inder to go ahead. Slowly they were able
to trace the footprints path. Silently getting over the jeep they sighted the
tiger as well. A great day for all three of them.
