Asma Saif

Biography
Asma Saif is the Executive Director for Governance, Strategy and Planning (GPS) within CDTS. Overseeing an investment budget of $356M, the GPS team, in partnership with business and IT stakeholders ensures that value is driven from this investment in alignment with strategic priorities and a 5 year roadmap.
Asma led the creation of the enterprise Care Delivery Technology Strategic Roadmap and the current enterprise and regional 5 year roadmaps.
Asma has over 20 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining KP, Asma was a Director of Clinical Support Systems at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she oversaw all clinical ancillary applications. Asma also served as Director of IT Strategy responsible for overseeing the IT Strategy. Prior to this she was a Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting focusing on Strategy & Operations within the Healthcare (Provider) Practice. Her early healthcare career was with the National Health Service in the UK, focusing on the General Management of Acute and Community based services.
Asma has a BSc (Hos) in Microbiology and Virology and a MBA from Manchester Business School. She lives in SCAL with her husband. They have two daughters and a son and love spending time travelling the world and visiting museums. Asma specifically enjoys reading, cooking and eating!
CDTS-GPS is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Care Delivery Technology Enterprise Strategy, 5 year investment roadmap and the associated CD PAC governance of the investment portfolio.
Focusing on the CD Technology Enterprise Strategy allows alignment of strategic priorities against seven core strategic themes that build out a 5-year investment plan. In 2018, this plan will collectively account for $356M in investment funding. The governance of this investment portfolio requires diligent stewardship of these allocated funds that will deliver on care delivery technology capabilities to our clinicians and our members.
